It's Here!!
Smiley Dusty » Devlog
My first game. I don't expect everyone to like it. I don't expect it to succeed, but it was really a lot of fun working on it. But I hope you give it a try. But for now, let's see what's in store next!

How long did it take you to make this game? :o
It's a little bit complicated, Smiley Dusty's development journey was a winding road. It began in July 2023 as a Roblox Doors-inspired project in Unity. Initially, I envisioned a complex game with 50 interconnected rooms, each featuring unique challenges and enemies. However, All I did is creating the basics player movements and animations,I soon realized the scope was too ambitious for a beginner like me. After a break, I attempted to reshape it into an anomaly game similar to Exit 8 . While progress was made on the house layout, I again encountered roadblocks due to complexity. Finally, inspired by story-driven games like Fears to Fathom, I pivoted in March 8th "I guess" to focus on a more manageable concept: a narrative-based experience with simpler gameplay. This streamlined approach allowed for smoother development, taking roughly 2-3 months to complete.
